Ren Min Road
If you walk through Ren Min Road in Guangzhou you will find a row of wholesalers selling milk powder, kids' clothing etc. It is quite a sight!
From here they sell through to the villages. The shortage of imported milk powder is not so much in the urban areas but the rural. The problems of melamine-tainted milk etc is China has been reported sporadically for a few years. Imported milk powder prices are very high in the cities ie. RMB238 for 900 grams tin.
