Babycity has 243 outlets

Finally we are inside babycity.(http://www.babycity.cn/Brand/companyshow.asp?bianhao=265.)

Took some time to get in, now to sell :-). Not as easy what people think. Even on a demand product it takes time for people to accept us into the stores and for customers to accept our product.

Chow Tai Fook

Jeweller Chow Tai Fook listed on the HKSE two weeks ago. It has a market capitalization of US$20 billion or HK$140 billion. It has over 1,500 points of sale in China. By God's grace our turn will come :-).

By comparison, on Saturday's The Star, I noted that Poh Kong had a market cap of RM170 million and Tomei's market cap was RM108 million.

His Plan for you remains :-)

“God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable”
(Romans 11:29, NIV)

No matter where you’ve been, no matter what you’ve done, realize today that your destiny supersedes your mistakes. When God designed the plan for your life, it wasn’t dependent on you being perfect, never making a mistake, or never taking a wrong turn. No, God knew we would all make mistakes. He knows how to get you back on track no matter where you are in life. Just like there are many routes on a map, God has a plan to help you reach your destination. He has detours, shortcuts and bypasses. He has already calculated the entire route for your life.

Today, if you’re feeling like you’ve blown it, if you feel like you are too old, too far gone or too off track, know that nothing you've done, no mistake that you’ve made — or ever will make — is a surprise to God. He’s already got it figured out. He’s arranged a comeback for every setback! He has grace for every weakness. He has mercy for every failure. Receive it today and move forward with boldness into the destiny He has for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for the gifts and talents You’ve given me. Thank You for keeping me on track and ordering my steps. I repent today for any disobedience that has caused me to get off course. Keep me close to You always as I set my love on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
— Joel & Victoria Osteen

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Osteen

Are you down on yourself today because of past mistakes you’ve made or because you’re not where you want to be in life? God knows every poor choice, every difficulty, every wrong turn you may have made, and He’s already planned your comeback! In scripture, Jonah took a detour, so to speak. It took him a little bit longer, but because he called out to God, because he believed, God not only rescued him, but God got him to his final destination.

Friend, know today that failure is not final. God always has the final say. Mistakes don’t have to keep you from your destiny. God’s plan can override every setback. Your world may be in turmoil today in a relationship, in your finances or health. But know this: not only will God rescue you; He will set your feet on a rock and lead you to your final destination in life. Remember, the promise He placed on the inside of you didn’t go away because you had some personal failures. No, that failure is only temporarym but His Word remains forever! Keep hoping, keep believing because He will move you into the blessing and victory He has prepared for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, thank You for Your hand of victory and blessing that is on my life. Today, I shake off the past, I shake off failure, I shake off poor choices and trust that You are restoring me and leading me into the plan You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Wine at Guangzhou airport

When I first came back from Australia years ago, I saw the Chinese in Malaysia and elsewhere drinking red wine with ice and sour plum and even adding Sprite. Now they are finally picking up the art of drinking wine!

Baywatch Restaurant at Tanjung Sepat

I have only read about Tanjung Sepat years ago when some virus afflicted the swine in this region. I remember no one dared to eat pork, even bak kut teh was being replaced by chick kut teh those days.

Legend of the White Snake 白蛇传

Being western educated when I went to Hangzhou's West Lake a friend mentioned "the legend of the white snake" to me as saw the Lei Fang Pagoda, I could not comprehend much of what she said as I had never heard of the tale which is one of the top 4 legends of China.

The story tells of a young scholar who falls in love with a beautiful woman, unaware that she is a thousand year old white snake that has taken on human form. A monk intervenes in order to maintain a law that forbids humans and spirits from falling in love with each other, and casts the white snake into a deep well at Leifeng Pagoda.

I bought this DVD starring Jet Li (watched it), googled a bit and now understand this tale a bit better.

Gift box

Check out this gift box with a bottle of wine and wine accessories. Real cool! The Chinese are really snapping up all the good wines.

A servant's heart

I have met many Christian friends who says God put us together etc to help me but most turn out to be disappointing. I met a dear friend recently and he has always been helpful through thick and thin. I said thanks again but he quoted Colossians 3:23-24 "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ". That is truly a man of God. In the past I wondered why he was not driving a flashy car or very rich, and now it comes to mind that for him God and friendship comes before money.
