This is a renowned restaurant in Taipeh. They are currently showing a film on how a couple met, their romance and how they formed this restaurant on Hakka TV in Taiwan (Channel 17).

Of course the on screen romance uses actors and actresses instead of the original persons.

At the front of the restaurant, there are 2 lovely girls to greet you.

I was volunteered by my host to do a dance. They were asking for single men who was unattached.

Below: They were about to put me into a traditional match making dance.

The idea is you chose a girl and carry her with your hands cupped behind to feel her out...

You carry her around and if the feel is good.... then that's a good start....

Monocycle

We were driving down from Taroko National Park, and mind you it was rather steep.

I was amazed as this guy was casually riding his monocycle down the road as if he was in a world of his own. I stopped him and asked him for a photo together. He had ridden his monocycle for hours up and around the Taroko National Park (probably >100km) which is very steep territory.

I asked him to do a demo and he duly obliged. He is a University student from Tainan.

Up till today, I had only seen a monocycle being ridden in a "circus" :-).  But this guy is truly amazing!

Beach at Hualien

I got to the beach at 6pm. It looks like, feels like Hawaii. The weather is hot and I didn't bring any summer wear to Taiwan as I didn't expect it to be this hot.

Look at the beautiful mountain ranges behind.

As you drive along the coast, you have the Pacific Ocean on one side and the majestic mountains on the other...

Anglers strewn along the beach trying their fishing skills...

The sea is a deep blue and really beautiful.

..Hualien is a marble city......they export a lot of marbles from here....
