After attending the wake at Bengkok's house last night, we went to this famous place for lou xu fun. It was rather nice but don't think I will have repeat cravings for it.
Below are photos I took at Bandar Kinrara run site before the run. We went in the jungle at 6pm sharp. At 6.30 in the jungle the front runners like us u-turn from a false trail and heard shouting that Bengkok collapsed.
We did CPR for 45 mins as the ambulance only came 1 hour later. I had only done CPR on mannequins but yesterday I had to do it on a real person. Took us >1hour to carry our fellow hasher out of the jungle. God bless his soul!
When I first came back to Malaysia I did a lot of road running. Since August last year, I started running hash and love it more as the air inside the jungle is a lot better.
Now even when I do my own runs, I prefer to go into a jungle track than run on the road. These 2 pic was 2 weeks ago in Puchong Wawasan jungle track. Tomorrow, I will join a group of friends to reccee the Bukit Besi jungle.
Visited a rice mill in Sekinchan. It has a 1500 acreage of rice planted. Most of the rice in Malaysia is planted in Kedah of course. Thailand and Vietnam are bigger producers as the Mekong River meanders thru its course.
