This is a renowned restaurant in Taipeh. They are currently showing a film on how a couple met, their romance and how they formed this restaurant on Hakka TV in Taiwan (Channel 17).

Of course the on screen romance uses actors and actresses instead of the original persons.

At the front of the restaurant, there are 2 lovely girls to greet you.

This is "original' chicken soup. It is really great!

The waitress with lots of pens

Pickled cucumber

Jia Jiang mien

Siau long pau

a very good vege!

Best sashimi I have tried

Japan occupied Taiwan for 50 years, and outside of Japan, Taiwan has the best Japanese food.

Below is the cook/owner of Mountain Deer Japanese Rest in Taipeh.

I didn't take much pics of the food as was engaged in conversation with a rich industrialist who treated us the dinner.

A native Taiwanese fish - red throat fish

oregini

Maiden Taipei trip - Fokker style

This is the Fokker we took from Hualien to Taipei

A view from our hotel... Taipei 101 in the background..

Taipei 101 - 101 stories - even taller than the Petronas Twin Towers.

Wanton

This is a shop that sells only wanton...but damn nice wantons.

A lady preparing the wantons

Honestly, I normally don't like wantons at all and never eat them

Chili sauce, pepper, vinegar and soy sauce

Bu this wanton is really nice... as the meat they use is really tasty..
