This is a restaurant in the outskirts of Taipeh. It is in BeiJi Road. The tel is 02 22178891.
Honestly, beg someone to bring you there! I have never made this statement on my blog before but the food is simply something to be experienced.

Oolong tea leaves
Red wine jelly! Simply fabulous....
The man on the left is Mr.Yeh a prominent tea merchant from Hualian. The man in the middle is Mr.Kenneth Hung, retired Presiding Supreme Court judge of Taiwan. Mr. Hung is age 80 and he drove us from the hotel to the restaurant at dizzy speeds. He asked me if he was "driving (his car) too fast" and I replied that he was "flying (his jet) too low".
Any of these 4 bottles are classic collections and priceless.
You simply cannot buy this 37 year old whisky anymore!
Tofu and bamboo shoot dish
On the home-made tofu is pine seed, wasabe, keizi and nut. I am lost for words to describe how nice this taste!
The next is steamed egg with sharks 'fin.
The next is a sashimi/salad served on ice.
The sashimi is on top while the salad is at the bottom.
Then came the black date vinegar to help digestion.
Below is the dressing for the salad.
A 1994 Pinot Noir/Merlot from Italy. Excellent mature body!
The glass for the black date vinegar had gold paper encased in it.
more food! Below is a pork dish.
Vegetable (4 types blended) soup. The center bit is chicken bone boiled in chicken soup for 30 mins and then frozen. The frozen broth is then deep fried and put into this soup.
This is just so excellent and healthy! Wish I could have this everyday.
The soup is boiled in the oven with the stone bowl. The bowl retains heat and thus keeps the soup hot.
Another vinegar to help digestion!
Glutinous rice with "roe". Roe is fish egg. The egg comes from a fish that swims from north Taiwan to the south of Taiwan. When you catch this particular fish at the north there is no "roe". But when you catch the same fish in the south, you will get"roe".
Lotus soup
Normally when you go to the toilet, it reads either "Gents' or "Ladies". In this restaurant it reads either "Sit", Squat", or "Stand".
Lotus leaf tea
Mango custard pudding and fruits!
